Looking ahead to the start of our 5th year of classes in Loose ...
Well, the start of term is finally here and I can't wait to get back to classes and start working on all of those routines that we've been planning for the last couple of months!
Thanks again to the 15 'Costumer Sorters' who gave up an entire Tuesday at the end of August to come and help me count what turned out to be over 4000 things! I've since compiled all of the items into a comprehensive database with pictures of each garment or accessorie and have published them at http://www.costumeflair.co.uk in an effort to make it easier for Teachers and Students to see exactly what we have in the store before sending me out to buy things for their performance, as well as making them available to other dance schools and individuals on a hire basis. As you can imagine emassing 4000 costumes in just 4 years has meant a great deal of financial investment. We've always been able to keep contributions minimal and voluntary, we are hoping that this hire service might generate a few more funds for the kitty to help us buy more costumes for future performances - so spread the word!
For those on Facebook we have our very own profile 'Flair Dance' and a group 'Flair School of Dance' which is used as a forum. Both the profile and group are request based and reserved purely for Flair Members and former members, if you're on facebook why not befriend us!
Below is the 'start of term' info that was sent out to members at the begining of September, it accompanied the 'Term 1 Invoice' for exsisting members.
So hopefully over the rest of this term we can start to put together the pieces which will combine together to make our Annual Show the best to date. More details will follow about the show, but for those planning ahead there will be an afternoon and evening show this time around, with our youngest students performing in the afternoon and our older students getting two opportunities to perform. The afternoon show will be from 2 - 4pm and the evening show from 7 - 9pm on Saturday 20th August.
We are still looking for an additional 11 volunteers to join our team and help with selling tickets, teas and coffees, refreshments as well as ushering and for those with stronger stomachs who are not afraid of slight chaos back stage runners too!! Thanks to those who have already offered their help, it is greatly appreciated...you can of course still watch the show and as you are dropping performers of 45mins before the show it's something to do with all that spare time!!
Check back in again soon for more updates!

TIMETABLE
First things first, the new timetable is up online and you will see that there are a few little changes here and there to accommodate the pre-schoolers becoming year R's and everyone advancing a year at school. Most things have stayed the same but there are a few minor alterations to fit everything in so have a look at the timetable online (via the link below) and let me know if you foresee any issues or are confused at all as to exactly which classes apply to you.
